Chapter Classes


There are three classes of chapters I release:
  1. Traditional Chapters
  2. Supplemental Chapters 
  3. Peripheral Chapters 
TRADITIONAL CHAPTERS

Traditional Chapters contain the main plot and have a decent pace. These are chapters I release on public platforms(RoyalRoad, Webnovel etc). You can read the advanced chapters of these traditional chapters on Patreon.
SUPPLEMENTAL CHAPTERS

Supplemental chapters are also canon chapters, but they don't literally affect the main plot and instead focus on building the world or backstories of characters. These chapters are not posted on this blog but will be added in Ebook releases.

Supplemental chapters have some subplots a few of which will end up playing some interesting roles in the main plot as well. In the supplemental chapters, I'll explore more of the world and create greater depth to the worlds of my novels. This way, I won't have to bother about the pacing of the traditional chapters. That said, not all my novels will have the supplemental chapters.

By reading not just the traditional chapters and also the supplemental chapters, you will get to know the world even better, and how the characters you didn't think know each other had long been friends!

In time, some of the secondary characters will shine in these supplemental chapters as well. Who knows, your favorite character may get an entire arc in these supplemental chapters.

You can participate in the polls to make such things happen. These sorts of things are explored in the supplemental chapters. I also chose to use them, so that my Patreon page will hold some weight, other than in just posting a couple chapters ahead of the public releases.

These supplemental chapters are only accessible to my backers(patrons). If you don't want to become my backer, but still want to read the supplemental chapters, then you can wait till I release the official Ebook volumes in Amazon or other such platforms. In any case, it's good if you keep an eye on my Patreon page or on my blog. Because I can only post updates of all novels in these two places, but I won't be posting the supplemental chapters in my blog, where I post only the traditional chapters.

Rate of Supplemental Chapter Releases: I may release one chapter a week or more or I may not release any either. It all depends on whether the plot demands these chapters or if there's a great chance to build the world and so on and such. So I can't really guarantee a certain number of chapters per week, but one thing's for sure... You can expect a lot of supplemental chapters, and I mean, a lot. So feel free to pledge as my patron even if your only incentive is you are expecting to read many of them.
PERIPHERAL CHAPTERS

Peripheral chapters are basically side-stories. These can be single chapters or entire arcs. These chapters are irrelevant to the plot and can be completely ignored. Most peripheral chapters will be written as per the request of the patrons. If you want a character to go through a certain situation, then that can be done in these chapters. These peripheral chapters won't be included in the Ebook versions, and you can only find these on Patreon.
TERMINOLOGY

All traditional chapters are numbered in decimals, while supplementals have fractions. Peripheral will have double fractions.

Examples:
  • Chapter 02 is a traditional chapter.
  • Chapter 2.1 is a supplemental chapter. 
  • Chapter 2.4 is a supplemental chapter too. 
  • Chapter 2.1.4 is a peripheral chapter. 
  • Chapter 4.5.3 is a peripheral chapter, too. 
  • Chapter 12 is a traditional chapter.
